Union des Œnologues de France

 

Set up in 1959, the Union des Œnologues de France is the professional body responsible for the acknowledgement and safeguarding of winemakers.
The Union, which has around 1,600 members, is divided into 8 regional sections and run by a management committee, currently chaired by Thierry Gasco.

As well as its web site, the Revue Française d'Œnologie, the yearbook and the letter to members, the Union organises specialist training courses in tasting and comparisons between laboratories, based on the physical and chemical analysis of wine, and organises competitions.
